Daico® Corporation - AL-09 "Lekmaximov" Assault Rifle

Ammunition :
> Standard - 7.45x39mm (any type)
Magazine : 30 rnd
Range : Medium
Rate of fire : 720 RPM
Firing modes : Semi Auto/Full Auto

The Avtomat Lekmaximova, or the "Lekmichov", is a heavy, durable rifle designed by the Daico corporation. Hefty and powerful, it can take on most armour. Many rail systems allow many attachments and customization. It has a few features made by other companies: for example, the barrel is made by Vepr and the sights by Boskord. Not cheap, but it is made of high quality materials and it will surely never fall apart or jam.

Ruggedness and durability. The best - only from Daico.

Creds and Deds:
-OptionReact for the rails
-Shocker for the sling
-Dethklaus for the style
-Arch for the logo

I'd hate to try and run through the brush with it ...or clean it.

Why... just use it to level the forest. Considering it was manufactured in the deep future, 2900s, you'd probably never have to experience running through the bush with it anyway. The ammunition used is a lot more powerful and I'm sure there are ways to clean it without much hassle using the miracles of future tech. Designed to be a company that comes from the borderlands universe, one full of oddities and impracticalities, Daico does it's job well on the part of impractical and overkill, badass weaponry.

Either way thanks for the critique. Anything positive however?

Well, my father was a gunsmith, and I served in the military, so I tend to look at firearms .....for the most part, with a practical eye. In the end we are all tainted by our indoctrinations. So that said, I am not a gamer, but I did look up Borderlands II and I will say that you, coming from a gamers reference have created a firearm as prickly and inhospitable looking as the setting it was created for.

I do like the magazine and color scheme a lot....but from what I've seen in the game advertisements there are jungles (even a big game hunt) and I doubt that they have a cleaning miracle product in that future because they hero's are pretty grubby looking, and half the rifles are held togther with gaffer tape? ....and judging from all the crap I saw attacking them I suspect it's a little too small lol.

I understand what you mean. Unfortunately, a lot of artists (including me) follow the "Form over Function" doctrine. In fact, if this had a real-world mechanism, it wouldn't work at all, as it wouldn't cycle properly.

The game revolves around one single planet, Pandora, which the entire game takes place on. According to one of the dialogues in the game, six galaxies have already been settled by humans, and Pandora is one of the border worlds (hence the name of the games: Borderlands). It would be natural that the entire world is a junkyard. The story about Pandora goes as follows: during the winter season of the planet, Dahl Corporation miners came over to mine. Then, when the summer season came, all the local life forms arose from hibernation. Dahl quickly left, but left nearly all of it's workers behind... these have to adapt to the planet's violent wildlife. The heroes (Vault Hunters) arrived to the planet to search for a legendary alien vault left by the now extinct Eridian race (The name of the planet, Pandora, foreshadows what the find in the Vault). They all have their back stories, but to sum it all up, they are all in one way or another rejects.

It's logical that there exist other places in this universe where higher tech exists (Pandora itself has plenty of examples of high technology, for example, digistructing: [link] ) Also, even though this gun may look small for the job, it's not that much smaller than the assault rifles found on Pandora (here's an example: [link] )
